For a number of years now I have been trying to find out the maiden name of 
my great great grandmother or I should say verify it and who her parents were. 
Her name was Harriette Lee who married John Welch in Lincoln Co. Kentucky in 
he early 1800s.  John Welch's father was John Welch who was married to Pamelia 
Lee.  But I cannot seem to find out who Harriett Lee's father and mother were. 
 Also cannot find out when John Welch, who married Harriet, died.  He was in 
the 1860 census in Lincoln Co. then in 1870 his son George Winston Welch and 
the mother and all of her children, were in Cass Co. MO.  Father John Welch is 
no longer with them.  I am assuming that he died back in Kentucky and then the 
family left there and moved west.  Anything you can do to help me?  It has 
also been passed down in the family that we are related to Robert E. Lee through 
one of these Lee connections but I havent been able to prove that either.
