The House family lived near Hubble. They married into the Sutton, Blackaby, Bourne, Holtzclaw and Ball families. The father of
James Harvey House, Mathias House, came to the Hubble area from Slate Mills, VA which is on the
Culpeper and Madison Co.,
VA line. The House family were German Lutherans.
