Clarence Rambo, age 85, of Louisville, died there Tuesday, October 24. He was a

native of Maywood, Ky. and a member of Mt. Moriah Christian Church.  

Survivors are his wife, the former Lena Price, one son, Bob Rambo of Jeffersonville, Indiana; one daughter Elizabeth Sutherland, Austin, Texas; 
2 grandsons and 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Lena Pearl [Price] Rambo, 92, of Louisville, died Sunday, September 6, in Louisville.  

A native of Pulaski County, she was a member of Mt. Moriah Christian Church and the widow of Clarence Rambo.

Survivors include one son, Bob Rambo, Jefferson, Ind.; one daughter, Libby Lefner, LeAnder, Texas; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  

Graveside services were held Wednesday, September 9 at the Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Local arrangements were handled by Beazley-Raney- Speaks Funeral Home.

Thomas Rector, 70, of 127245 Old Somerset Road, Waynesburg, died February 13 at his home.  

A native of Montgomery County, IN., he was born June 24, 1921 to John Hardin Record? [Rector] and the late Grace Parker Rector. He was a retired sheet metal 
worker of Penn Ventilator and a retired farmer. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and the International Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 433.  

Other survivors include his wife, Ruth Mae Oaks of Waynesburg; four sons, James Robert, Thomas Junior and Glenn Sherman Rector, all of Waynesburg and 
Larry William Rector of Vine Grove; four daughters, Pearl Grace May, Carol Marcella May and Judy Sharon Horton of Waynesburg and Janet Cheryl Terry of Stanford; 
two sisters, Helen Davis of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Ruth Chiefflo of CA., and 17 grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 15 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with

Rev. Vola Brown and Rev. Marshall Barlow officiating. Burial was in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg.  

Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home was in Charge of the arrangements.

Mildred "Polly" Adams Reece, 61 of 572 Greenbrier Rd., Waynesburg, died Sunday

February 12 at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.  

A native of Casey County, she was born May 15, 1927 to Ed Adams and Sallie Estes Adams. She was a farmer, Homemaker and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  

Survivors include her husband Jessie Victor Reece, Waynesburg; two daughters, Betty Jean Reece Duff, Berea, and Deborah Lee Reece Padgett, Waynesburg; two brothers,

Noel Adams of Kings Mountain and J. B. Adams of Robinson, Ill.; one sister, Maxine Floyd, Stanford; 5 grandchildren, Stephen Carl Duff, Eric Dwayne Jenkins, 
Stacy Nicole Padgett and Tracy Lynn Padgett; 16 nieces and nephews.  

Active pallbearers were Pat Stonecypher, Jack Duff, Larry Fight, Danny Ray Adams, Ron Robertson and Johnny Psimer. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Adams, Larry Victor Young.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 15 at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Vola Brown officiating. Burial was in Grove Ridge Cemetery. [Casey County]

Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Amy Evalene Baugh Reed, 94, of Corning, NY, formerly of the Highland Community, died Saturday, Oct 31 in Corning, NY.  

A native of Lincoln County, she was born April 8, 1898 to the late Mack Baugh and Maud Walls Baugh. She was a housewife and a member of Highland 
Methodist Church. She was the widow of Clarence Leslie Reed.  

Survivors include two sons, W. C. (Bill) Reed, Waynesburg and Harold Reed of Vicksburg, MS.; three daughters, Della Young, Stanford, Gladys Carrier, 
Indianapolis, IN., and Ann Baker of Corning, NY.; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  

Pallbearers were Roy McGuffey, Fonzo McGuffey, Beverly Reed, Gene Reed, Sharp Reed, and Gene Carrier.  

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 3 at the Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Spencer officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Highland.

Ralph "Pete" Reed, 65, of 125 Shake Rag Road, Waynesburg, died Thursday, August 16 at his residence.  

A native of Lincoln County, He was born August 22, 1924 to John Green Reed and Arizona Melinda Norris Reed. He was a farmer, a Kentucky Colonel, 
and a member of Mt. Moriah Christian Church and the American Legion.  

Survivors include his wife, Heloise Duncan Reed; one daughter, Vickie Lee Reed Caffey of Danville; two brothers, Victor Reed, Detroit, MI., and Howard 
Reed of Brighton, MI; five sisters, Edith Guardian, Stella Fenton of Detroit, MI, Rose Anderson, Burkburnett, TX.,

Ruth Kirkpatrick, Danville and Donna Leach of Waynesburg; 2 granddaughters, Christy Lee Caffey and Morgan Caffey and 1 great grandson, Anthony Caffey.  

Pallbearers were Paul Reed, Jodie McGuffey, Jim McGuffey, Dave Burton, Tommy Owens, Danny Ford and Jack Ruddy. Honorary pallbearers were Dooley Miller, 
Ralph Barrett, Arnold Carrier, Charles (Sharp) Reed, Walter Reed, Jack Frost, Raymond Davis,

Bob Denham, Bill Snyder, Carl Jenkins, Clinton Sims, David Sims, Carroll Gerkey and Roy Skeen.  

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 18 at the Fox Funeral Home with Bro. John Lowry and Bro. Dennis Spencer officiating. 
Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Highland.

Versie E. Relford, 70, of 101 Depot St., Stanford, died Saturday, July 26 at the Humana Lake Cumberland Hospital in Somerset.  

A native of Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Johnny Green and Clara Heath Denny. She was a housewife and mother and a member of Sweet Gum Church of God.  

She is survived by five daughters, Lou Ellen Byrd, Ethel Jean Adams, and Kathy Denson, all of Stanford, Rozella Stevens of Eubank and Thelma Bullock of Waynesburg; 
five brothers; William D. Denny, Freeman Walt Denny, Fred Denny, Melvin Denny and Leroy Leach, all of New Castle, Ind.; 24 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  

Pallbearers were grandsons, Butchie and David Barbour, Danny and Jimmy Adams, Wayne and Stevie Denson, Michael and Brian Stevens and Shawn Bullock.  

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 29 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Vola Brown and Rev. Delmer Whitter officiating. Burial was in Singletown Cemetery in Eubank.

Edna Leona Renner, 69, of Cedar Creek Road, Crab Orchard, died Sunday, October 6 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.  

A native of Brownstown, Ky., she was born February 15, 1922 to the late Joe Bledsoe and Stella Whalin Bledsoe. She was a housewife.  

Survivors include her husband, Sylvester Renner of Crab Orchard; two sons, Robert Robbins of Crab Orchard and Bobby Joe Robbins of Orleans, IN.; one step son, 
Stanley Ray Renner of Burgin; two daughters, Hazel Loretta Sparks of McDermott, OH., and Patty E. Gray of Salem, IN. ; two sisters, Hazel Mosley of 
Bowling Green, and Joann Anderson of Sheperdsville.  

Pallbearers were Terry Pettit, Carlos Cromer, Gary Cromer, Pearl Hilton, Tracey Renner, and Floyd Renner, Jr.  

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 8 at Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Roundtree officiating. Burial was in Ottowa Cemetery in Rockcastle Co.

Etta Renner, 73, of 1040 Chapel Gap Road, Crab Orchard, died Sunday, August 4 at the Fort Logan Hospital.  

A native of Rockcastle County, she was born Dec. 3, 1917 to the late Hampton Renner and Ola Pittman Renner. She was a homemaker and a member of Bandy Church 
of Christ in Pulaski County. She was preceded in death by a son Darrell Renner.  

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Renner, Sr., Crab Orchard; three sons, Dean Renner of Harrodsburg, Floyd Renner, Jr. and Danny Renner, both of Stanford; 
one daughter, Jean Ratliff of Stanford; two brothers, Wilson and Walter Renner of Mt. Vernon; and 5 grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 7 at the Fox Funeral Home with R. H. Renner officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Floyd Renner, 78, of 3545 Crab Orchard Road, Stanford, died Tuesday, October 26 at the Fort Logan Hospital Extended Care.  

A native of Rockcastle County, he was born November 20, 1914 to the late William Thomas Renner and Minnie Bradley Renner. He was a retired 
independent truck driver, a Baptist and the widower of Etta Renner.   

Survivors include three sons, Dean Renner of Harrodsburg, Floyd Renner, Jr. of Stanford and Danny Renner of Stanford; one daughter, Jean Ratliff of Stanford; 
four brothers, Sylvester Renner of Crab Orchard, Arlie Renner of Mt. Vernon, James O. Renner of Stanford and Lester Renner of Eubank; 
two sisters, Bessie Beal of Spring Valley, OH., and Gracie Bishop of Broughtontown; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Gutenson and Bro. Eddie Miller officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery

Stanford - Marie Renner, 67, of 420 Rices Lane, Stanford, died Friday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington.  

Born Nov. 27, 1921 in Rockcastle County, she was the daughter of the late Gene and Maymie Williams Gentry. She was an employee 
of American Greetings and a member of Ottawa Baptist Church.  

Survivors include her husband, James Oather Renner; one son, Thomas Renner of Stanford.; three daughters, Mrs. Phil (Barbara) Kitchen of Lexington, and Mrs. 
Jimmy (Linda) Cloyd and Mrs. Jackie (Brenda Sue) Antle, both of Junction City; a brother, Johnny Starlin Stevens of Bartonville, Ill., a sister, Mrs. Lowell (Christine) 
Frazier of Jacksboro, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The funeral was held Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home, Stanford, by Jimmy Owens. Burial was in Ottawa Cemetery, Mount Vernon.

Henry C. Rice, 58, of Stanford, died Wednesday, May 17 at the VA Hospital in Lexington.  

A native of Lincoln Co., he was born Sept. 27, 1941 to Hartwell Rice and Allie Davis Rice.

He was an employee of the State Road Department, a veteran and Member of the John Logan VFW Post.  

Survivors include a special friend, Mable Moberly of Stanford; two sons, Kelley and Jason Rice of Stanford; one daughter, Linda Rice of Stanford; six sisters, 
Christine Henderson, Lucille Feldman, Louise Spears, Annette Stickler and Freda Stevens all of Stanford, and Laverne Law of Crestwood; two brother, Jack Rice 
of Crab Orchard and Roger Rice of Stanford; three granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 20 at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Virgil Horseman officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  

Military graveside services were conducted by the Caswell Saufley Post # 18 of the American Legion.  

Active pallbearers were Tommy Sudduth, Steve Rice, Greg Stickler, Tony Preston, Kevin Stevens and Duvall Bastin.

A native of Tennessee, she was a retired employee of Palm Beach Company in Danville and was a member of the Church of Christ in Danville. She was the wife of Victor Rice of Stanford, Route 3 

Additional survivors include a son, Billy Rice of Stanford Route 3; a daughter, Mrs. Ila Victoria Johnson of Hustonville Route 1; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Siler of 
Waynesburg Route 2. , Mrs. Alice Chappel and Mrs. Ella Mae Siler, both of Stanford Route 3;

A native of Lincoln County, he was born Dec. 2, 1905 to the late Steve and Nettie Yaden Rice. He was a retired L & N Railroad employee (Section Gang) and a 
member of the Stanford Church of Christ. His wife, Allie Davis preceded him in death.  

Survivors include 3 sons, Jack Rice, Crab Orchard, Henry C. Rice, Stanford, and Roger Rice, Louisville; 7 daughters, Christine Henderson, Stanford, Laverne Law, Louisville,

grandmother, Mary Robbins, Stanford; Maternal great grandparents, Vina Underwood, J. Lucian and Laura Collins, and James Campbell, all of Danville.  

Graveside services will be held today (Thursday, Dec. 7) at the Buffalo Springs Cemetery with Bro. Otis Clark officiating.

A native of Madison Co., she was born March 6, 1962 to Ernest Lee Roberts and Opal Renner  Roberts. She was a homemaker and a member of Cuba Community Church of God. 
She was the wife of the late Robert Jackson Robinson.  

Other survivors include two sons, Joey Jackson and Ronald Lee Robinson, Waynesburg; two daughters, Karen Renee and Rita Gail Robinson, Waynesburg; three brothers, 
Troy Lee Roberts, Timothy Lynn and Anthony Leland Roberts, all of Eubank; one sister, Phyllis Miracle of Crab Orchard; grandfather, Mr. Lewis Renner of Mt. Vernon.

A native of Lincoln County, he was born April 14, 1958 to Bill Robinson and Christine Robinson. He was a self-employed T.V. repairman and a member of Cuba Community 
Church of God. He was the husband of Regina Karen Roberts Robinson.  

Other survivors include two sons, Joey Jackson, and Ronald Lee Robinson, Waynesburg; two daughters, Karen Renee and Rita Gail Robinson, Waynesburg; six 
brothers, Matthew, Luke, Timmy Robinson, Waynesburg, Billy Mark and Clarence Robinson of Eubank; three sisters, Mary Robinson, Waynesburg, Barbara Wheat, 
Stanford and Glenda Fox, Fernandina Beach, FL.

Mrs. Mattie Jane Rowe, 69, of Crab Orchard, died Sunday, Jan. 28 at Ephriam McDowell Hospital after a three month illness.  

A native of Rockcastle County, she was a housewife, member of the Church of Christ and widow of William Gilbert Rowe.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Mrs. Hazel Lucas, Route 1, Danville, Mrs. Ella Kersey, Route 1, Hustonville, Mrs. Dessie Carrier, Route 3, Stanford, Mrs. Lois 
Preston, Danville; 3 sons, Henry Rowe, Route 3, Stanford, Walker Rowe, Lancaster, Floyd Rowe, Route 2, Waynesburg; 4 sisters, Mrs. Hazel Bullock and 
Mrs. Maggie Cromer, both of Brodhead, Mrs. Gracie Bishop Route1, Crab Orchard, Mrs. Bessie Walker, Crab Orchard; 6 brothers, Walter Renner, 
New Port Richey, Fla., Floyd and Sylvester Renner both of Crab Orchard, Oather Renner, Route 3, Stanford, and Arlie Renner, (name omitted),

Services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Virgil Horseman in charge. Burial was at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

ROWE, William  

August 12, 1903 - March 14, 1977  

Services for William Gilbert Rowe, 73, of Rt. 1, Stanford, were held on Wednesday at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home. Virgil Horseman officiated and burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  

Mr. Rowe, who was reported missing from his home for about an hour and a half Monday morning, was found dead around 7:30 a.m. by a son in a stock pond on his farm.  

According to Lincoln County Coroner Clarence R. Barnett, Mr. Rowe was apparently walking over his farm at sunrise, suffered a heart attack and fell into 
the pond from a high bank. His body was recovered about five feet from the shore line. The Stanford Rescue Squad assisted. Mr. Rowe had been planning to enter a hospital Monday for tests.  

A retired farmer, he was born in Rockcastle County and belonged to Stanford Church of Christ.  

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie Renner Rowe; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Lucas of Perryville, Mrs. Ella Kersey of Rt. 1, Stanford, Mrs. Dessie Carrier of Rt. 3, 
Stanford, and Mrs. Lois Preston of Danville; three sons, Henry of Rt. 3, Stanford, Walker of Prestonburg and Floyd Rowe of Rt. 1, Waynesburg; two brothers, 
Delbert of Mt. Vernon and Walter Rowe of Woodstock, 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  

Pallbearers were Junior Renner, Donnie Atkins, Dalmas Rowe, Danny Renner, Richard Rowe and Jerry Day.

Mary Ruth, 81, of 4002 Alden Ave., Indianapolis, IN., died Thursday, September 14 at the Decatur Nursing Home in Indianapolis.  

A native of Lincoln County, she was born Oct. 11, 1913 to the late Arthur Oaks and Clara Sims Oaks. She was a housewife and a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.  

Survivors include her husband, George Ruth of Indianapolis, IN.; one son, James H. Ruth of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, Arthur Oaks of Stanford and Everett 
Oaks of Waynesburg; two sisters Edna Greer of Waynesburg and Eva Cook of Indianapolis, IN.; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  

Graveside services were held Sunday, Sept. 17 at the Mt. Hebron Church Cemetery with Bro. Mike Mullins officiating.

Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
