MORELAND — Levi Edward Baker, 18, of Danville passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.

Born Dec. 22, 1993, he was the son of Eddie (Sheila) Baker and Pamela (Craig Daly) Worthington. He was a member of Alum Springs First Church of God and a graduate of Boyle County
High School. He enjoyed raccoon hunting, go-cart and dirt-track racing and karate. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Edward Baker Sr., and his uncle, Ernie McGirr.

Other survivors include his fiancée, Candice Sallee; paternal grandparents, Ruby (Icie Lee Vaught) Baker, Ella Johnson and Carson Copeland; maternal grandparents, Irvin Jr. and Judy Worthington;
maternal great-grandparents, Irvin Sr. and Betty Worthington; stepbrothers, Hunter Wing, Evan, Ean and Brandon Daly; stepsisters, Kaylah Johnson and Samantha Daly; uncles, Dayne Copeland and
Johnny (Tammy) Worthington.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Alum Springs First Church of God by the Rev. Keith Willoughby. Burial will be in McGirr-Sandidge Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Holt, Jake Henry, Evan and Ean Daly, Jason Reed, J.T. Wayne, Brandon Casey and Hunter Wing.

Honorary pallbearers are Wesley Long, Ricky King, Tyler Satterly, Cody Floyd, Robert Taylor and members of Dix River Coon Club.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland.

STANFORD — Regenia Coulter Ballard, 61, of Fort Worth, Tex., died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012.

Born Dec. 23, 1950, in Stanford, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Sally Barnett Coulter.

Survivors include a daughter, Jelius Ballard of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, Charles Coulter of Hempstead, N.Y., and Robert Coulter of Nicholasville; a brother, Samuel Coulter of Stanford;
two sisters, Sue Coulter of Danville and Patty Coulter of Louisville; and nine grandchildren.

A sister, Freda Stevenson, preceded her in death. 

A memorial service was held Saturday at First Baptist Church Water Street in Stanford. 

Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MORELAND — David Lee Bodner, 60, of Moreland, beloved husband of Connie Cope Bodner, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2012.

Born July 19, 1951, he was a son of David Dawl and Nina Cox Bodner of Moreland. He was an executive board member of Journey Community Church.

Other survivors include two daughters, Heather (Jerry) Jones of London and Shawna (Mike) Roberts of Stanford; a brother, Conn (Charlene) Bodner of Waynesburg; two sisters, Lois (Bob)
Aaron of Lexington and Rhonda Sue Bodner of Stanford; and four grandchildren, Tristan, Jasper, Elizabeth and Evelyn.

Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Journey Community Church by Pastor BJ Taylor with burial in Moreland Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Allen and Tommy Maddox, Billy Stringer, Marvin Wilson, and Johnny and Paul Bodner. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Sebastin, Kim Brown, Ronnie Cooper, Glen Dotson, Mike Miller,
Jeff Ruckel, Jason Brown, Lester Byrd and Doug McQueen.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.

CRAB ORCHARD — Anthony Wayne Brock, 41, of Waynesburg, died Monday, April 16, during a construction accident in Daleville, Ala.

Anthony was the husband of Shelly Ann Holden Brock, whom he married on March 12, 2005.

Born May 20, 1970, in Pulaski County, he was a son of Janie Griffin Brock and the late Herman Partin.

Anthony was employed by Precision Erectors and was formerly a private of the U.S. Navy. Anthony was a loving husband, father, papaw, son, brother and friend.

He also was an avid UK basketball fan.

Survivors Include his wife, Shelly Ann Brock of Waynesburg; mother, Janie Griffin Brock of Crab Orchard; stepdaughters, Miranda Baker of Stanford and Christina Baker of Waynesburg; a brother,
Bill Brock of Crab Orchard; five grandchildren, Cameron Hale, Shawnrey, Chance and Evelyn Oaks and Charity Lewis.

In addition to his father, Anthony was preceded in death by his stepfather, Danny Lee Brock; paternal grandparents, Tilton and Polly Partin and Ernest and Grecian Brock;
and maternal grandparents, Bill and Viola Griffin.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bro. Thad Eubank.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 20, at McKnight Funeral Home.

BROUGH, Ida Mae age 96 of Miamisburg, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born June 9, 1915 in Stanford, KY to
the late James F. and Mary L. (Lakes) Spivey. 

 In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brough (1985) and siblings, Debbie Spivey, Candice Lipps and Leslie Spivey. Ida is survived by her daughter,
Charlotte (Ralph) Shifflet of Germantown and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Ida was a high school graduate who retired from Monsanto after nearly 30 years of employment as an assembler. She also was the pianist for Miamisburg Wesleyan Church East where she
attended for many years. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 12:00-3:00 PM at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home,
Miamisburg. A funeral ceremony will follow at 3:00 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg.

BROWN, Jim "Foster" age 79, of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011. Jim was born May 15, 1932 in Walnut Grove, KY to the
late James Bradford & Mattie Marie Brown. 

He served in the U. S. Marine Corps, during the Korean Conflict. Jim was an active member of the American Legion Post 165, VFW Post 3809, and the Masonic Lodge (Minerva) 0098. He retired
after 30 years from General Motors (Harrison Radiator Division). Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Hollis Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Brown; children, Danny Brown, Susie Johnson, Debbie Snow, and Crissie Williams; grandchildren, Danielle, Josh, Jennifer, Kelle, and Darcy;
great-grandchildren, Caleb, Hailey, Kaylynne, Jade, and Gavin; brother, Jack (Karen) Brown; sisters, Marie Williams and Irene King; brother-in-law, Johnny Salley; and many other
relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The
service will follow at 11am. Burial will take place at Heritage Hills Memorial Gardens.

Thelma Bryan Brown, 91, of Crab Orchard, passed away Monday, April 23, at Rockcastle Health & Rehab in Brodhead. She was the widow of Cecil Alfred Brown who preceded her in death on July 27, 1957.

Born March 18, 1921, in Lincoln County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Bryan and Nellie Weaver Simpson. She was a member of Mount Zion Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Lenual (Virginia) Brown and Ronald (Joyce) Brown, both of Crab Orchard; a daughter, Sharon Gentry of Mount Vernon; a brother, J.L. Simpson of Ohio; three sisters, Norma
Schmidt, Loretta Reynolds and Juanitta Prows, all of Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Carol Brown of Crab Orchard; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her son, Cecil B. Brown; son-in-law, Carlos K. Gentry; brother, Tom Simpson; and three sisters, Lucille Brown, Beulah Long and Donna Downey.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKnight Funeral Home by Bro. Thad Eubank. Burial will be in Mount Zion Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Stevens, Keith, Roger, Wendell, Jeff and Josh Brown.

Brad Carter, 62, of Stanford, KY died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Stanford, KY. He was born September 22, 1949 in Stanford, KY to the late Carl A. and Mildred Sprinkles
Carter. Brad was a Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 345 in Stanford. He was a bricklayer and dynamite shooter. He was a member of the Stanford Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Bobby Ray Carter of Stanford, KY and Susan Renee Carter of Nashville, TN; two double first cousins, Nancy Ball and Eddie Ray Carter, both of Stanford; four grandchildren,
Kaydan Presley Carter, Steven O'Daniel, Shannon Carter and Donald Jonas, Jr.

Visitation and funeral will be Monday, April 30, 2012, visitation beginning at 10 a.m. with the funeral at 2 pm. at Spurlin Funeral Home. Reverend Johnny Thompson will be officiating the service.
Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Caswell Saufley Post #18 American Legion will provide military honors.

Casket bearers will be Will, Harry, Jack and Tony Hazlett, Billy Snow and Mike Kennedy.

MORELAND — Richard Madison Cooper Jr., 83, of Moreland, went to Heaven to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.

Born July 23, 1928, he was the son of the late Richard Madison and Nannie Mae Miller Cooper. He was a retired farmer and a member of Moreland First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lorene Crain Cooper; three sons, Richard Wayne, Joe Madison (Beverly) and Mike (Michelle); a daughter, Suzanne (Terry Wesley) Rousey; two brothers, Bryan
and Jimmy Cooper; a sister, Margaret Dunn; six grandchildren, Chris, Melanie, Candace, Chasity, Matt and Dylan; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Bro. Eric Douglas. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and their spouses. Honorary Pallbearers are Josh Douglas, Bryan and Jimmy Cooper, and Kyle and Harold Crain.

Bert Lee Deatherage, 84 years of age, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky on January 28, 1924, son of the late Henry and Bessie Carrier Deatherage. He was a retired foreman for the State Highway Department and a member of
Eubank Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II and receiving a purple heart. Bert loved to hunt, fish and tell a tale or hear one.

He was survived by his wife of 54 years, Geneva Burton Deatherage, one daughter, Berta Sue & (Dale) Ware, one granddaughter, Tressa Ann Ware Godby, one grandson, Nathan Dale & (Karen)
Ware, one great-granddaughter, Emily Nicole Godby, all of Eubank, one step daughter, Janice & (Doug) Dickens of Crestwood, KY, one step grandson, Ronnie & (Vicki) Stephens, one step
great-grandson, Parker Stephens, all of Sulphur, KY and one sister, Beulah Dick of Cincinnati, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Maurice Deatherage,
Charles Deatherage, Arnold Deatherage and two who died in infancy and one step granddaughter, Jennifer Stephens.

Funeral service were held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating.

Burial was in the Eubank Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Duncan, devoted mother of Vicki Duncan and Glynna (Steve) Hanrahan; proud grandmother of Carrie Todd, Kyle Hanrahan, Jordan (Chad) Low and Leah Hanrahan; great-grandmother of
Lydia, Adrian, Logan and Lilly; cherished sister of Mae Foley, Johnnie Lou Adams, the late Gary Todd, the late Pauline Todd and the late Bobby Todd; and sister-in-law of Dean Todd.

She was the dear daughter of the late Ada and Merlie Shelton Todd and caring granddaughter of the late John and Vinia Shelton and the late Caleb and Susie Todd. She also is
survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 2, at Fellowship Baptist Church of Montgomery, 9431 Shelly Lane, Montgomery, OH 45242, where

Born Sept. 9, 1926, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Coy and Sallie May Gourley. Mrs. Estes was a homemaker and a member of Brookesville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Estes, and a sister, Christine McKinney.

Survivors include a son, Lindon W. (Nancy) Estes of Danville; a daughter, Monica E. (Jerry) Frady of Madisonville, Tenn.; a sister, Lois Ann Sims of Waynesburg; and three grandchildren, Tiffany

Richard Clinton Floyd Sr., 71, of Stanford, died Thursday.

Born Aug. 19, 1940 in Walton, he was a son of the late Clinton and Hattie C. Hasty Floyd. He was retired from Schwan's and a member of  Blue Lick Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Trimble Floyd; a son, Richard Clinton Floyd II and his wife Anita of Waynesburg; a daughter, Donna Floyd of Stanford; three brothers, Ray Floyd of Stanford, 
Jimmy Floyd of Casey County, and Frank Floyd of Trimble County; and one granddaughter, Racheal Floyd. 

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

FREETOWN, IND. — Mrs. Mae Edna Gastineau, 92, of Freetown, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour, Ind.

Born March 31, 1920, in Dennison, Ohio, she was the daughter of Walter and Alta VanHoozer Smith.

On April 20, 1937, in Highland, Ky., she married James A. Gastineau, who preceded her in death Oct. 11, 2007.

Mrs. Gastineau was a member of Freetown United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, James Clifford Gastineau, Wayman (Ruby) Gastineau, Arnold Gastineau, Loyd Gastineau and Carol Dixon; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Mildred Wingler; four brothers; and a sister.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Voss Chapel with the Rev. David Ison officiating. A Voss dove release will follow the service.

A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford, Ky.

Friends may call 9 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel until time of service.

Joanne Marie Watts Greer, 68, passed from this life April 4, 2012. She was the daughter of Woodrow and Leona Fields Watts of Kings Mountain.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Greer of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Scott Greer of Ohio; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; two brothers, David (Pauline) of Stanford and Wade (Debbie) of Kings Mountain; and four sisters, Dean Snow and Sally (Don) Miller of Kings Mountain and Gwen (Lindsay) Hawk and Denise Jenkins of Stanford.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson; a brother; a niece; and a great-niece. She leaves a host of relative and friends that mourn her passing. There will be no services.

She was a daughter of the late Valentine and Ida Peyton and the widow of Calvin Haynes.

Survivors include her niece, Shelba Webster; and great-nieces Lisa Wray and Pamela Hill. Two sisters, Estelle White and Lillie Statom, preceded her in death.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Owen Funeral Home in Louisville.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in Hustonville Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Farmer Hendrix, 91, passed away Monday, April 2, at home. He was the widower of Edna Lewis Hendrix who preceded him in death on May 28, 1999.

Born Jan. 3, 1921, in Leslie County, Ky., he was a son of the late Henry and Stella Browning Hendrix. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. Farmer was a retired postmaster from the Post Office in Yeaddis, Ky., a retired coal miner and farmer, and former owner and operator of Hendrix General Store. He was a member of Pine Mountain Masonic Lodge No. 406 F&AM for more than 50 years. Other memberships include United Mine Workers Union, 40th Armored Division and Retired Postmasters Association. He also was a charter member of the Cutshin Volunteer Fire Department and an avid beekeeper.

Survivors include a son, Glen (Judy) Hendrix; two daughters, Julie and Theresa Hendrix; two brothers, Willie (Fay) Hendrix and Henry (Vicky) Hendrix Jr.; two sisters, Nealie Blevins and Nancy (Charlie) Deaton; six grandchildren, Jill (Steven) Shelley, Abigail (Alan) Bowman, Martha (Sean) Alexander, Spencer (Jessica) Toler, Natalie (Stephen) Morris and Chrisley Toler; eight great-grandchildren, Trace, Maggie and Sarah Beth Bowman, Kenley Toler, Kason Curry, Farmer Toler and Madilynn and Max Morris; and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Hendrix; four brothers, Vincent, Dewey, Jim Lee and Ivory Hendrix; and a sister, Pearlie Turner.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Watts Chapel Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Dan Gutenson and Bro. Willie Hendrix. Burial will be in Dix River Church of Christ Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley American Legion Post No. 18 of Stanford.

Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at McKnight Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to the 1 p.m. service time on Thursday, April 26, at Watts Chapel Baptist Church.

Cindy Darlene Snow Hill, 50, of Stanford passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was the wife of T.J. "Jeff" Hill IV of Stanford, whom she married on May 10, 1997.

Cindy was born Wednesday, March 21, 1962 in Danville. She was the daughter of Jahava Dean Watts Snow, of Kings Mountain, and the late Wayne Snow. She was a homemaker and member of the Kings Mountain Christian Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Treasurer. She was a graduate of Lincoln County High School and held a Masters Degree from Eastern Kentucky University.

Over the years Cindy served as a Leader of Cub Scout Pack 148 in Stanford. She was a Kentucky Colonel and also served on the Lincoln County Educational Fund. In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her son, Thomas Jefferson Hill V, who was the joy of Cindy’s life. Other survivors include her sister, Sandra Snow Kline (James) of Lexington, her mother-in-law, Nancy M, Hill and sister-in-law Virginia Carol Hill, both of Stanford. She also had several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family who are mourning her passing.

Members of the Stanford Police Department will serve as her Honor Guard and Casket Bearers during her service. Members of the Stanford Cub Scout Pack 148 will serve as Honorary pall - bearers. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 5-9 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 4 at 1PM. All services will be at Spurlin Funeral Home. Reverends David Gambrel and Jeremy James will be officiating. Burial will be at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Born May 10, 1925, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Lueallar Sims Holton. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include a brother, Clarence Holton “Junior” of Hustonville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Jason, Walter, Orville, William Pete, and Raymond Holton; a sister, Rosie Lamons; and special nephew, J.C. Carman.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Dixon officiating. Burial is at Wall Cemetery.

Orvil B. Hoseclaw, 87 of Bowling Green passed away at 5:00am, Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Bowling Green Manor.
He was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky on August 16, 1924 to the late James and Maggie (Green) Hoseclaw. He married Sally Lewis in 1948, they were later divorced. He then married Mary Wagner in 1958 and she preceded him in death in 1996.
A proud World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army until 1946. One of the highlights of his life was the Honor Flight" trip to Washington DC to the World War II Memorial in October of 2008. Orv was a member of Lybarger-Grimm Post 441, Amvets Post 711 and he served as an officer in the Son's of The American Legion.
"Kentucky Colonel" till the end, Orvil was a United States Postal Carrier retiring in 1981.
He is survived by sisters, Luveda, Hester and Mary all from Kentucky; one son, Leonard (Peg) Wagner, of PA., four daughters, Debra (Gary) Haas of B.G., Cindy Baer of Florida, Judy (Rob) Allen, B.G. and Amy (Bob) Caris, Gibsonburg. Also left to mourn his passing are eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, James and sisters, Frances and Adelaide.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the DUNN FUNERAL HOME, located in Bowling Green's Historical District at 408 West Wooster Street. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted at Oak Grove Cemetery by the Wood County Honor Detail.

WAYNESBURG — Lillian Sanders Jacobs, 84, of Parlor Grove Road, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, at her residence.

Born Feb. 3, 1928, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Lula Mae Oaks Sanders. She was a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing, worked at Waynesburg Area Rescue Squad for more than 20 years and had served as Sunday school teacher for Parlor Grove and Pleasant View Baptist churches for close to 50 years.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Greer; a grandson, Daren Greer; and four sisters, Bessie Mae Lane, Mary Jewel Lay, Lou Ellen Geabes and Dorothy Ann Burriss.

Survivors include her loving husband, Dallas Jacobs; three sons, Chuck (Judy) Jacobs, Roger (Janet) Jacobs and Kenneth (Edwina) Jacobs, all of Waynesburg; a brother, Raymond Sanders of Versailles, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at Pleasant View Baptist Church with the Revs. Aaron Hogue and Kyle Page officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery.

Board and taught at Southern Acres Christian Church, Lexington, KY; returned to ministry at Mackville Christian Church, Mackville, KY; Mt. Moriah Christian Church, Stanford, KY; 
North Madison Christian Church, Madison, IN and Crab Orchard Christian Church, Crab Orchard, KY, retiring after 41 years of leadership and ministry. During this period he 
sang with both the Messengers Quartet and Gospel Messengers Trio.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sue Perry Lowry; two children, Patricia Waldroup (Rod) of Stanford, KY and Robert Lowry (Sherry) of Louisville, KY; two granddaughters,

STANFORD - Services for former Stanford Fire Chief Leroy "Skip" Lunsford, 60, of Salt Lick, formerly of Stanford, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Stanford Baptist Church by 
Stuart Dawson. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military rites. He died Tuesday at his home. Lunsford retired as chief from the Stanford Fire Department in 
October 2003 after 18 years. Stanford Mayor Eddie Carter said Lunsford was a strong leader and was instrumental in the department's modernization.

Born Jan. 15, 1952, in Lincoln County, Trish was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Edith Denney Manuel. She was devoted in faith and to her children, grandchildren, family and the children she cared for and was “granny” to. She was a member of Fall Lick Holiness Free Pentecostal Church and also loved gardening and “Good Willing.”

Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Napier of Crab Orchard and Jennifer Napier (David) Murphy of Stanford; a son, Daniel (Christina) Napier of Stanford; four brothers, Jay, John, Donald and David Manuel, all of Stanford; six sisters, Diana Mounce, Georgia Shoemaker and Debbie Stickler, all of Stanford, Sherri Napier of Garrard County, Sandra Davis of Berea and Carrollee Baker of Crab Orchard; six grandchildren, Dalton and Devin Murphy, Kattie Boggs, and Abigail, Shelby and Austin Napier; a great-granddaughter, Serenity Boggs, and a host of nieces and nephews.

 in Stanford, James was the son of the late Oscar and Maggie Adam Reed. He was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church; a member of
the Burgin Baptist Adult Men’s Sunday School Class, a retired University of Kentucky Agricultural Technician and enjoyed fishing
James is survived by two step-sons: J.W. West of Somerset and Howard West of Burgin, two daughters: Maxine Wilson and Darlene
Lister both of Danville, fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by one step-daughter Stella Ann Simpson; four sisters: Bessie Cook, Mildred King, Bertha Warner and Della Fischer;
and four brothers: Raymond, Robert, Jessie and Sammy Reed.

Survivors include his son, William Roberts of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Nancy Wade, Mildred Carpenter and Jane Holmes, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren; Greg Roberts, Kevin

Wanda Eileen (Young) Schlosser was born November 11, 1933, in a two room home in Stanford, KY. Her family moved to Roseville, MI where she attended school and 
met her husband Lester Schlosser to whom she was married over 54 years. 

Lester and Wanda moved their young family to California in 1960 and lived in the same house they purchased in 1960 until her death on April 2, 2012. Lester preceded her in death in 2008. 

Wanda is survived by three children; Paul, Rebecca Kirk, and Randy; 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren; her brother Jack Young (TN), sister Donna Freeman (KY) and brother 
Paul Young (MI). Wanda worked as a teacher's aide at Stanton Elementary School in Glendora from 1972 - 1981.

Wanda also worked with Home Interiors winning several recognitions and awards for her hard work and sales. Wanda, also known as Wendy, belonged to the Azusa, Duarte and South 
Hills churches of Christ and was a member of the Daughters of the Revolution. Her life was her family.
A graveside service for Wanda Schlosser will be held at Oakdale Cemetery in Glendora at 3:00pm Thursday, April 12th with a memorial service following at 6:00 at the South Hills Church of Christ,

SCIENCE HILL — Lynnville Smith, 61, of Danville, Ky., passed away, Monday, April 2, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his wife and children.

Born Feb. 28, 1951, in Stanford, Ky., he was a son of the late Manuel and Ona Smith. A graduate of Memorial High School and University of Kentucky, Lynnville followed his dreams and career 
around the world, eventually returning to his beloved farm in his native Lincoln County. He was retired from Nestle USA in 2009, where he served as a senior vice president 
and director of purchasing. In 2007, he was commissioned by the state governor as a Kentucky Colonel.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends, as well as his willingness to always go the extra mile.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Lynda Griffin Smith; three children, Nathan Smith (Heather) of Waynesburg, Julie Smith (James Norton) of Valencia, Calif., and Amy 
Despres (Stephen) of Alexandria, Va.; two granddaughters, Sophie Smith and Penelope Despres; two sisters, Wanda Alford of Midway and Joyce Williams of Arizona.

Dexter Darrell Todd, 59, of Broughtontown passed away Thursday, April 19th, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was the husband of Brenda Carol (Estep) Todd 
whom he married on August 26, 1972.

Dexter was born in Lincoln County, KY on August 11, 1952. He was the son of the late Leonard and Vernia (Reynolds) Todd. Dexter was former employee of both Whirlpool 
and Matsushita in Danville. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church serving as a Deacon, Song Leader and Treasurer. Not only was Dexter a faithful member of his 
church but he also was a well respected member of the Lincoln County Fiscal Court, presently being the Magistrate over the Fifth District of Lincoln County. He also held that 
same position in the early 1990's. Dexter was a member of the Waynesburg Masonic Lodge #328. He was a former member of the Broughtontown Volunteer Fire Department and 
former president of the Broughtontown Community Center Board. Dexter was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and papaw.

Lester Lee Todd, devoted husband of the late Eula Todd,  beloved father of Brenda (David) Johnson of Lockland, OH and the late Ronald Brock, loving son of the late William and 
Effie Todd dear brother of Lois Stanford Todd,  five late brothers and four late sisters, proud grandfather of Tanya (Buck) Barnes, Brett (Georgia) Brock, Tasana (Steve) Jones, Brian (Debbi) 
Johnson and Dayna Johnson, also survived by nine great-grandchildren.  

Among many other honors, Lester was a recipient of the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He died suddenly May 24, 2006 at age 81, life time resident of Lockland, OH. Funeral services 11:30 A.M., 
Tuesday May 30th at the Schmidt-Dhonau Funeral Home 8633 Reading Rd., Reading. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 P.M.
