I have included a photo of
the wedding dress that John DePauw's wife
wore when they were married in Lincoln Co. in 1805 and a photo of a painting
of John's wife Elizabeth Battist that was painted in Kentucky, probably
Lincoln Co. c.1805.
Elizabeth Battise wore
this gown when she married John DePauw in Lincoln Co. in 1805.
She wore black for the wedding and was buried wearing white.
