Do you have access to original Mason County source records? Have you received 'fair use' permission from the copyright holder to do limited lookups from a published source? Please consider having your name added to this list as a lookup volunteer. To become a lookup volunteer, e-mail me via my address at the KyGenWeb Volunteers' E-Mail Registry. Thanks!

RootsWeb Mail Lists for Mason County

Join in an ongoing discussion about a whole range of issues concerning Mason County history, genealogy and newly discovered on-line research playgrounds. There's a RootsWeb mail list for just about every topic imaginable, and the Mason County list is one of the best. Becoming a subscriber is easy. Active Electronic Message Boards

Unlike mail lists, message boards do not require you to register before posting a query

Old Query Boards

About the Former GenConnect Boards: The GenConnect suite of genealogy boards, their links and icons, were disconnected by Ancestry.com, Inc. / MyFamily.com, Inc. on June 21, 2001 and replaced with the 'RootsWeb / Ancestry.com' links above. These free electronic message boards have a great deal of activity and broad coverage. Submitted messages appear within a few seconds, and discussion threads are maintained on a long-term basis. Don't forget to explore the surname boards and boards for other counties.

Mason County Researchers' Surname Registry

Would you like to exchange information with others who are researching your surnames? Please consider registering your Mason County surnames of interest by contacting me via my address at the KyGenWeb Volunteers' E-Mail Registry.

Please put SURNAME REGISTRY on the subject line of your message. The content of your registry should include:

  • Surname you are researching
  • Date range of the family in Mason County
  • Their location in Mason County (census e.d., town, watercourse, etc.)
  • The e-mail address where you want researchers to contact you

Your registry will remain until you tell me to remove it.

Please note that this is not a query or message board. Please post queries to one or more of the Message Boards above. Due to space constraints, your registry must have a clear Mason County connection.
