The following record was found at the Oldham courthouse annex in the deeds room.   "Following is a listing of boys who went to war from Oldham County and whose names were painted on the front of the courthouse before same was painted.   American Eagle with wings spread was painted in the gable with the following words after - Oldham County War Roll."
