 War Veteran Ends Life with Pocket Knife at 93

Abraham Copel cuts throat at Confederate
Home and Dies an Hour later.   Using a pocket-knife he had carried since the Civil War, Abraham Copel, a Confederate veteran, 93 years old, severed his jugular vein early yesterday morning and died an hour later at the Confederate Home in Pewee Valley.  

He had lived at the home for ten years and mental weakness caused by his declining health promoted the act.  He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William Poulter, of Middletown, Ky.
