Born in Henry County, near New Castle on 25 Jul 19?5, daughter of A. B. and Susie E. Smith.  
She married Joseph William Swinney.  

He was a farmer on the old home place where his son Jerry Swinney and family now reside.  He died about 11 years ago with burial at Pleasant Hill.  She was the mother of Mrs. Everett Ellis & Mrs. Clarence Wilson; sons, Jerry, Emory, Lester and Bracken; brother W. T. Smith.   Sisters Mrs. A. S. Morgan and Mrs. Charles Williams.
