The Courier-Journal, 15 Aug 1985 Edition. "Mrs. Bessie Morris Allen, 77, of LaGrange, formerly of Louisville, died Wednesday at Bashford Manor East Nursing Home.
She was a native of Larue County and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Oldham County.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Bertie Acton of Bellevue, and a brother, Jesse Morris of Seattle.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, with burial in Shiloh Cemetery in Oldham County.  Visitation at the funeral home will be after 6 p.m. Thursday
