All Wills, Deeds and Marriage Records are housed at the Oldham County Clerk's office in the Deed Room. Enter through the main entrance and turn left... go all the way back past the counter and you will be in the deed room. Some of the records housed there are marriage indices from 1824-1957 and 1958 to 1990, 1990 to present. Also, Wills dating back to 1824.
Some of the newer records (Wills & Deeds) are housed in the computer. There are four computer terminals. There are printers for the computers, I am not sure of the cost per page probably 10 cents like the copies.
There is one copier but you will need to get the Deed Room employee to enter a code so that you can copy. Currently, copies cost 10 cents per page but may change in the future.
Numerous original tax records from 1892 are available at the Kentucky
Department for Libraries and Archives. The
Kentucky Historical Society
has tax records to 1875.
The Oldham County Public Library has a new location off Yager Ave in LaGrange. The library is really nice, but has a very limited Genealogy reference area. They do have one microfiche reader and a cabinet of microfilm that contained tax records and some newspapers.

NOTE: These records have been transcribed from several different sources, either by
the coordinator or by other researchers and provided as a starting point to assist you in your research;
I've verified as many as I could, but be aware that there may be errors (either mis-spellings on the original records, almost illegible writing on the records, and/or typing errors on my part), so make sure to double check them prior to assuming they're "the gospel truth".
I will never deliberately include erroneous information in any part of this site.
If you have records that you'd like to see added to this site, please
I'll be glad to add them to this collection.
