Owen County Courthouse

Owen County Clerk has Marriage Records from 1819 and Land Records from 1819 and is located at 136 West Bryan Street, Owenton, KY 40359; Phone:(502) 484-2213, FAX:(502) 484-1002. The current County Clerk is Joan Kincaid.
   

   Owen County Clerk of the Circuit Court has Probate Records from 1820 and Court Records from 1819 and is located at Courthouse, 100 NORTH MADISON ST., OWENTON, KY 40359; Phone: 502-484-2232 . You may email the Circuit Court Clerk Here. The current Owen Co. Circuit Court Clerk is Cindy Wright. 

Genealogists traveling to Owen Co. will be interested to know that the Owen County Courthouse is closed on Wednesdays and Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday.

 

The Owen County Public Library is open on Mondays though Thursday from 9:30 AM until 8:00 PM and Fri-Sat from 9:30 AM until 5:00 PM. They are closed on Sunday. The Library houses the records of the County Clerk's office on microfilm. The Library has a microfilm reader and a printer. Xerox copies of printed materials may be made for $0.10/copy. Several titles among the Library's collection should be of interest to historians and genealogists.
