Harrison Reed of near Brownings Corner, handling a revolver that he "didn't know was loaded" shot and killed Adolphus Verselle, a boy 16 years old.

Died, Franklin M. Stanfield, aged 76.

Died, Mrs. D.F. Gifford, age 68.

Died, Mrs. Clara Garson, nee Kimberly age 47.

Born to Mrs. & Mrs. D.C. Kennedy, twins, a boy and a girl. The boy died.

Born to Mr. & Mrs. Martin Coleman, a son.

Born to the wife of Dam Donley, a fine daughter, fourth heir - two sons and two daughters.

Joshua Ritter, the well known farmer and stock trader, has been very ill the past week at his home south of town. About a week ago Mr. Ritter trimmed a corn too close and the result was that blood poison set in.

Mr. Henry T. Pollard, the aged father of Mrs. Ren Perins and Miss Mae Pollard of this county, died at the home of his son, James Pollard, near Shelbyfille, IN. Deceased was about 70 years old.

Born to wife of John Murphy, of Butler, a fine son.

Born to wife of Ed. Cleveland near Antioch Mills, on Sept 6th a fine son. Second heir and son.

Monday evening while out driving, Misses Cecil Fryer, Lottie Cummins, Beulah and Velma Fossett were dumped over the north embankment just east of the little iron bridge. The young ladies had a miraculous escape from being injured, but luckily all escaped with slight bruises.

Died, Olive Shoemaker, aged 80 years, died at his home near Moscow, Oh. The remains were brought back to this county and interment took place in the FLour Creek Cem.

Mrs. Jane Fornash, aged 65 years, died Saturday, 3 Sept. at the home of her son, Newton Fornash, who resides on the John Coleman farm.

George Smith, aged about 12 years, son of Mr. & Mrs. J.F. Smith, died at his home on the Bradford (Broadford?) pike.
