Mr. Eugene Benge, age 68, husband of Frances Benge, of Somerset, Ky. and formerly of Brodhead, Ky. passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

Mr. Benge was born on May 13, 1936 in Brodhead, Ky. the son of the late William "Joe Bill" and La Vina Brock Benge. He was a member of the Protestant faith.

A member of the Marine Corp. He had been a machinist for Lincoln Tool and Die in Stanford, Ky. Hobbies/interest reading and woodworking.

Those left to mourn his passing include his wife, Frances Benge of Somerset, Ky; A daughter-Peggy Drummond of Somerset, Ky.; three sisters-Irene Benge of Brodhead, Ky.; Geneva Copp of Aurora,Colorado; and Margie Elizabeth Cannady of Sacramento,California; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers-James"Jim" Ivan Benge, Donald Benge and William Benge, Jr. and

an infant daughter-Christia Jean Benge.

Visitation for Mr. Benge will be Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 6P at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, Ky.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 2, 2004 at 11 AM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. John Erwin officiating; burial will follow in the Negro Creek Cemetery. Memorial suggested to the American Kidney Foundation and Alzheimers Association.
