Betty Jane Coffey age 62 of Scaffold Cane Road in Berea passed away on Saturday morning, September 20, 2003 at Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center.

Betty was born in Rockcastle County to Charity Elizabeth Gadd and the late Casper Gadd. She was a member of the Crestview Holy Sanctuary.

In addition to her father she was also preceded in death by one son Roy Coffey.

She is survived by her husband Clyde Coffey, four children Lewis Coffey and his wife Mary, Carolyn Anderson and her husband Mike, Larry Coffey and his wife Marca and Vickie Coffey all of Berea; four brothers John L. Gadd and his wife Opal of Berea, Billy Ray Gadd and his wife Mary of Mt. Vernon, Robert Gadd and his wife Lola of Richmond and Donald Gadd and his wife Kathy of Berea; one sister Rosie Elam and her husband Ted of Berea; five grandchildren Brandon Tyree, Michael Settles, Chris Coffey, Charity Coffey and Tyler Coffey; three step grandchildren Ashley Anderson, Jay Anderson and Josh Richardson; and one great granddaughter Miranda Coffey.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2003 at the Crestview Holy Sanctuary with Rev. Harold Eads and Rev. Chuck Elam officiating. Burial will follow in the Davis-Witt Cemetery on Scaffold Cane Road. Visitation will be Sunday evening after 6:00 p.m. at the Crestview Holy Sanctuary.

Active pallbearers will be Billy Ray Gadd Jr., Kenneth Gadd, Robert Gadd Jr., Greg Elam, Josh Lambeth, Kemuel Allen, Ashley Anderson and Jay Anderson.
