Mr. Delbert Lee Gatliff age 81, of Pine Hill died Wednesday September 22, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. He was born on October 31, 1922 in Rockcastle County the son of the late Jimmy and Laura Ballinger Gatliff. He was a retired bus driver for Rockcastle County Schools, a veteran of WWII, and was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors are: his wife of 65 years; Mrs. Dorothy Ramsey Gatliff of Mt.Vernon. Two sons; Barry Gatliff and wife Lavada of Mt.Vernon, and Benny Gatliff and wife Joyce of Franklin, Ohio. Two daughters; Mrs. Marietta Jones and husband Billy, and Miss Teresa Gatliff all of Brodhead. Two sisters; Mrs. Myrtle Rice of Berea, Ky., and Mrs. Marie Venable of Disputana, Ky.. Nine grandchildren, Two step- grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one step-great grandchild also survive. He was preceded in death by: two sons; Floyd, and Roy Gatliff, by one brother; Luther Gatliff, and by one sister; Hazel Gatliff.
