Oma G. Gross
CRAB ORCHARD - Services for Oma Griffey Gross, 89, of Brodhead, will be 2 p.m.
Sunday at McKnight Funeral Home by John Erwin. Burial will be in Crab Orchard
Cemetery.
She died Thursday at Rockcastle County Hospital.
Born March 15, 1915, in Harlan County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd
and Nora Caldwell Griffey. She was a homemaker and a member of Holiness Church
of God. She was the widow of Levi Gross.
Survivors include two daughters, Edna Brock of Crab Orchard and Betty McMahan of
Somerset; and two grandchildren whom she raised, Shirley Martin of Brodhead and
Allen Collins of Crab Orchard; 39 grandchildren; and several
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven children, Margie Gross, Mae Rodriguez,
Shirley Wilson, Barbara Gonzales, and John, Caleb and Eugene Gross.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bishop, Dale Carpenter, and Wayne, Bobby, Anthony
and John Wilson.
Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m. Saturday. |
