Mrs. Flora Hopkins, 82 of Route #4 Mt. Vernon died Friday June 27, 2003 at the Rockcastle Hospital. She was born on October 12, 1920 in Rockcastle County the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Niceley Blackburn. She was a retired Cowden employee, enjoyed quilting, canning, and gardening and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Pentecostal Church.
Survivors are: One daughter; Mrs. Sue Curry of Richmond, KY. One sister; Mrs. Mae McQueen of Hamilton, OH. Two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband; John T. Hopkins, by five brothers, four sisters, and one infant sister. | |
