Mr. Jason Ray Houk, age 24 of Mt. Vernon, died Wednesday, June 4 at the Rockcastle Hospital as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Mt. Vernon on Aug. 11, 1978 the son of Charlie and Shelby Jean Hayes Houk. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a delivery man for Taylor Produce Company. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Griffin Houk of Mt. Vernon; a son, James Darrell Houk; his mother and stepfather, Shelby Jean and James Al Proctor of Mt. Vernon; his father, Charlie Houk; one brother, Douglas Lee Houk (Jennifer) of Medford, OR; one sister, Angela Jean Houk of Mt. Vernon; his maternal grandmother, Marie Hayes of Mt. Vernon; and his paternal grandmother, Iva Mae Houk of Brodhead. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Chan Hayes; and his paternal grandfather, Chester Houk. |
