Mr. James Donald Norton, age 67 of Rt. 6 Mt. Vernon, died Sunday, Sep. 26
at his home. He was born in Rockcastle County on Oct. 22, 1936 the son
of Roy and Ollie Chasteen Norton. He was a retired heavy equipment
operator and was a veteran of the US Army. He was also a Mason, a
Shriner, and a member of the Scottish Rite.
He is survived by a son, James Roy Norton (Roxanne) of Scottsburg,
IN; two daughters, Candra Jill Crouse (William Paul) of Greenwood, IN,
and Stephanie Lynn Atha (Michael) of Scottsburg, IN; two sisters, Allene
Purcell and Louanna Purcell, both of Somerset; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ollie Norton; and three
brothers, John, Lafe, and Eddie Norton. |
