Mrs. Lois Pierce, 65 of Hixson, Tennessee died Monday July 19, 2004 in Chatanooga. She was the daughter of the late Grover and Zelma Miller Childress. She was a member of the Middle Valley Church of God.

Survivors are: Her husband; Russell Nix of Hixson, TN. One son; Jamie Hughes of Jacksonville, FL. One brother; James “Dick” Childress of Lebanon, IN. Two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Charles “Chuck” Childress and Douglas Childress, and by two sisters; Glena Childress and Joyce Owens.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Pierce will be held Friday July 23, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, IN. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Arrangements are by the Cox Funeral Home where friends may call from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday and at the Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, IN after 12:00 Noon Friday until time for services.
