7-24-1984: Ella Kirby Renner
died. Rockcastle County, Kentucky Newspaper article, "Mount Vernon Signal," obit
dated 8-02-1984, follows; Mrs. Ella Renner, age 81, of Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday,
July 24, 1984 at the Rockcastle County Hospital after an illness of several
months. She was born January 7, 1903 in Rockcastle County, the daughter of the
late Jim and Nettie Rash Kirby and was a member of the Holiness church. Survivors are one son, Floyd
Renner of Rt. 5, Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Bustle of Holton,
Indiana and Mrs. Elsie Renner of Rt. 5, Mt. Vernon; 13 grandchildren; 15 great
grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Jimmy Renner. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, July 27 at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rolla Cornelius and Bro. Virgil Bustle officiating. Burial was in the Logsdon Cemetery. |
