Mr. Ted Albert Scott, 82, of Mt. Vernon died Wednesday Oct. 22, 2003 at Rockcastle Health and Rehab Center in Brodhead. He was born Jan. 3, 1921 in Quitman, GA the son of Foster Theodore and Carolyn Scott. He was a retired social worker for the Kentucky Department of Social Insurance and a US Army Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Verla Scott of Mt. Vernon; a son Gary Scott and wife Vicki of Brodhead; three daughters, Jealen Marcum and husband Dale of Richmond, Patsy Morgan and husband Eddie of Mt. Vernon, and Carolyn Scott of Georgetown; and one brother Fred Scott of Los Angeles, CA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Corey Scott, Erica Shi Richie, Satica Morgan and Sonia Morgan.
