Mr. Thomas C. Welch, age 91 of West Main St. Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003 at the Rockcastle Hospital. He was born in Livingston, KY on March 5, 1912 the son of Thomas C. Sr. and Cora Troutman Welch. He retired from the US Army at the rank of Major having served in WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the Brodhead Masonic Lodge F&AM #566, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon.

He is survived by a son, Michael Welch of Lexington, KY; a daughter, Tommie Cheryl Boone (Tony) of Harrisburg, PA; three grandchildren, Katherine Propes, Susan McQueary, and Jonathan Kita; and one great grandson, Michael Caleb Propes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Welch, and a daughter-in-law, Bobbie Welch.
