Stoney Hill Cemetery

aka Briggs Family Cemetery #2

Contributed by: Linda Belles - SCCC Stafford County Cemetery Committee

TM-25    Parcel-26G-7

From Route 17, turn onto Hartwood Road.  Pass Curtis Park and turn right onto Stoney Hill Road.  The cemetery is behind house #99 about 425 feet behind the house along a path beside the well.

It is now well kept, but only has one headstone with two names on it, and two other names interred there are listed below.  There were other possible burials in this cemetery, but all headstones were taken.  It once was surrounded by a stone wall.  It is approx. 22x42 feet.

(transcriptions below are partial due to aging of stone etc.)
