Rodney E. Thompson Middle

 

Opening fall 2000
Originally was going to be named after a women. But, there were an enormous amount of letters to the school board about the positive attributes and humbleness of Mr. Thompson
of the 33 years he served in the educational community. He was a computer teacher at H.H. Poole Middle since 1995, who died from surgery complications in Dec.1999. He began the old Stafford MS in 1967. Moved to AG Wright MS in 1981. He also taught math & algebra. He was an official at many HS events and filmed football games for Stafford High School every Friday night. He was unanimously always selected as Teacher of the Year.
