NEW....

Thomas S. Fiske's Historical Novel "General Morgan's Legacy"

is now available at all dot com book stores such as Amazon.  It is a modern novel of 360 pages in which the characters research their past in Henry County and its environs.  They discover new (and actual) facts about the escape of General John Hunt Morgan from the Yankees in 1863.  Much of the action takes place in Henry County.  There are two other protagonists in the book besides Morgan:  Thomas H. Hines and Judge Wm S. Pryor.  Hines led Morgan around and took him to Pryor's house.  Pryor fled to Canada after helping Morgan and Hines escape. The history in the book is part of the real history of Henry Co. during parts of the Civil War.  Legacy of Gen Morgan is that Pryor gained fame for taking a stand against the Yankees which caused political appointments after the War.
