James Proctor was the son of James Proctor and Mary Branaman who migrated
to the Mt. Vernon area ca 1800. James and Mary had 15 children. Son James
stayed in the area along with brothers; Anderson Granville Proctor, Willis
Green Proctor Elisha Proctor.
