We had a very successful 8 days in Casey County. The
following new cemeteries were photographed by myself and
Brenda Sanders.

We revisited the following cemeteries to get some more
readable photos:
Wall
Green River Christian
Mt. Calvary
Luttrell Turner Ridge
GPS mapping was done for all of the cemeteries we have
found thus far.
We have added to Find a Grave the GPS mapping and
overall photo for several cemeteries near the Casey
County line. In Adair County we did Pellyton and
Barnett’s Creek and in Lincoln County we did K. P. Hall
and Pond Road Cemeteries.

Sanders
has leads on many more and will photograph them as time
permits. All of the major cemeteries have now been
photographed. The ones that are left are either in woods
or on private property and we are working on getting
locations and permission to enter.
Nearly 2000 new obits were copied. The years 1957,
1958, 1959 and 1962 are complete
Partial year obituaries were obtained from 1924, 1925,
1939, 1940, 1941, and 1942

has also been collecting all of the 2007 and 2008 obits
and will scan them as time permits.
We met with Fern (Drake) Baldock Thomas who has
an incredible amount of information on her family lines.
She has some great old photos of her ancestors that we
began scanning.
Now that I have returned home to Phoenix, I will have a
lot to keep me busy during our long, hot summer. |
