Location: The Prowse Cemetery is located off Kentucky Route 189 about ½ mile before the Muhlenberg-Christian County line. From Greenville: take U.S. Route 62 west to KY-189. Turn left on to KY-189 and go 8.3 miles. Take the first left after Eli Lane.

This land has been in the Prowse family since 1804 when Thomas Prowse with his wife Zilpha Odom Prowse and family came to Muhlenberg County from North Carolina. After his death in 1810, his wife Zilpha went to Illinois with two of her children Thomas Jr. and Elizabeth Solomon. Zilpha died 7 Oct 1865 in Palmyra, Macoupin Co., Illinois, at the age of 80.
