- A ditto mark [”] in the original image indicates that the bride's place of residence is Weekly County, Kentucky, but no such county in Kentucky exists. Residence is more likely Weakley County, Tennessee.
- Groom's residence was given as Hopkins County but struck through and replaced with a ditto mark [”], indicating he resided in Muhlenberg County.
- A ditto mark [”] in the original image indicates that the groom's place of residence is Saline County, Kentucky, but no such county in Kentucky exits. In 1854, three states had a county named Saline: Arkansas, Illinois, and Missouri.
