Harvey, Kate Bastin & E.C. Purvis
Harvey-Purvis. Mrs. George E. Harvey and Mr. E.C. Purvis were married on Monday evening at 7:15 o'clock in the First Christian Church at Central City, Rev. Courtney C. England, the pastor, saying the ceremony.
They had as their attendants Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Moseley. Only the immediate members of both families were present.
The bride, ever gracious and charming, was exceptionally beautiful in her wedding gown of teal blue and black metallasse with Roseberry felt hat with all accessories in harmony with the color of the hat. Her corsage bouquet was of Hollywood roses and Tube roses.
Mrs. Moseley wore a teal blue crepe gown with teal blue felt hat and her corsage bouquet was of Souvenier roses and Tube roses.
The marriage of Mrs. Harvey and Mr. Purvis unites two of the most prominent families in Muhlenberg county. Mrs. Purvis is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Bastin of Central City. Mr. Bastin is president of the Nelson Creek Coal Company.
Mrs. Purvis is past governor of the Second District and chairman of the Board of Governors of the Kentucky Federates Woman's Club, also secretary of the past presidents and Governor's Club, and an officer in the Current Events Club.
Mr. Purvis is manager for J.C. Penney Company, Central City, vice-president of the Commercial Club and a member of the Rotary Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Purvis, after a short wedding trip, will be at home to their friends in their apartment on Center Street in Central City.

Hawkes, V. Pryor & M.D.L. Bennett
Hawkes-Bennett Wedding. Mrs. V. Pryor Hawkes, of Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. M.D.L. Bennett, of this city, were married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilkinson at 8 o'clock, p.m., May 11, the ceremony being performed by county judge J.J. Ride, in the presence of just a few friends of the contracting parties. Mrs. Hawkes has been in charge of the millinery department of L. Hummel for two seasons, and has made a host of friends among our people. The groom has lived here many years, and is well known over the county. Their friends wish for them the greatest happiness, and long, useful lives. They intend soon to make a visit to Atlanta and other points in Georgia, with a bare possibility that they will make their future home in the south.

Hays, Ruth & B.F. Page Jr.
Hays-Page. Mr. B.F. Page, Jr., was united in marriage to Miss Ruth Hays, last Sunday afternoon at the Christian Church. Mr. Page is a brother of Mrs. C.C. England of this city. This young couple are of Bowling Green, Ky. Rev. C.C. England solemnized the service.

Hite, Samuel E. & Masie Mayhugh
Hite-Mayhugh. A quiet home wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Ed Teaford, Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock, uniting the lives of Mr. Samuel E. Hite, of Graham, Ky., and Miss Masie Mayhugh, of Greenville, Ky., Rev. E.K. Sewell, of the Methodist church performing the ceremony.
Mr. Hite, the groom, is a young man of good habits, and business standing and comes of highly respected family, and the Times sincerely congratulates him on winning this charming and gentle young girl as his bride, and wishes for them uninterrupted happiness and success in all their undertakings.
The ceremony was witnessed by only a few close friends, and at 1:30 o'clock the bridal dinner was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Hite will remain here the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Teaford for a few days, going back to their Kentucky home just in time for the Christmas festivities. 0 Oceola, Ark., Times.
Miss Mayhugh is athe bright and attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Mayhugh, of this city, and the groom has a host of friends here. The bride and groom arrived here yesterday on a visit to the family of Mr. Mayhugh. They will establish a home at Graham in a short while. May their lives be filled with useful endeavors.

Hutchings, Ernest & Ruby Moore
Married in Tennessee. Central City, Ky., Aug. 9. - Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hutchings returned on Monday from Tennessee, where they had slipped away from their friends and without leave or permission quietly married. Mrs. Hutchings was formerly Miss Ruby Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Moore, of Madisonville, but had for some time been stenographer for County Attorney Jones, of Greenville. She had gone on a visit to her parents at Madisonville, and when Mr. Hutchings called on her Sunday, they decided to return home to Central City as Mr. and Mrs. Hutchings. Miss Moore was formerly a resident of Central City and is a beautiful girl with charming manners. The groom is a young merchant of this city, well and favorably known. Mr. and and Mrs. Hutchings will be at home for the present with the mother of the groom on Third street.
