Sarah Bell Will

Transcription

In the name of God Amen. I, Sarah Bell, of the county of Muhlenberg, being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory, do hereby make my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say.

1st, I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.

2ndly, I give all my personal property to my two sons James M. Bell and Wyley A. Bell, consisting of the following property (viz.) Four beds and furniture, one clock and one cupboard and all my kitchen furniture, one loom and all the geese and cupboard furniture, three cows and four yearlings.

3rdly, I desire that the above named property shall not be sold but taken possession of by my two sons James M. Bell and Wyley A. Bell and applyed to their own use and benefit and I dod hereby revoke all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 23rd day of February 1845.

The foregoing last will and testament of Sarah Bell deceased was exhibited into court and proved to be the act and deed of said Sarah Bell by the oaths of William Bell Sr. and Andrew Craig, subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded.
