I, Abraham Dennis, of the county of Muhlenberg & state of Kentucky, admonished of the precarious term of my natural life, being of sound mind and disposing memory, and wishing to make a testmentory disposition of the estate with which a kind Providence has rewarded a life of industry & economy, do make and publish this my last will & testament, hereby revoking all former last wills & testaments by me made and published.

1st, I give and bequeath to my grandson Henry Harrison Dennis one hundred dollars $100.

2nd, I give and bequeath to my grandson Philander E. Langley one hundred dodllars $100.

3rd, I give and bequeath to my grandson Jeremiah C. Langley one hundred dollars $100.

4th, I give and bequeath to my son James Madison Dennis the farm upon which he now lives, valued by me at five thousand dollars & one dollar in cash.

5th, I give and bequeath to my son Alney McLean Dennis the farm on whcih he now lives and all other lands belonging to me not otherwise disposed of or appropriated.

6th, I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy S. Miller my negro boy Robert Henry to her and her bodily heirs forever.

7th, I give to my daughter Sallie Ann Hancock fifteen hundred dollars in cash for her & her bodily heirs.

8th, I give to my daughter Tabitha R. Rhoades fifteen hundred dollars in cash to her & her bodily heirs.

9th, I give to my daughter Manerva R. Leachman and her bodily heirs my negro woman Polly and [her] increase after this date.

10th, I give to my daughter Mary Amby Hardy and her bodily heirs my negro woman Mariah and her increase.

11th, I give to my beloved wife Francy G. Dennis the following negroes towit: Cato, Mary, Ellen, Allice and Clark and their increase and all my personal property of every description not otherwise appropriated. Also all my bank stock, railroad stock and all monies to have and to hold during her natural life. After her death to return to my son Alney M. Dennis.

12th, I name my son Alney M. Dennis of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, the sole executor of this my last will and testament, and as I have full confidence in my son, I request the County Court to allow him to qualify as such executor without giving bond & security.

The foregoing last will and testament of Abraham Dennis decd. was produced to Court and proved to be the act and deed of the said Abraham Dennis decd. by the oaths of F.B. Hancock and M. Jeff Roark, the two subscribing witnesses thereto, and the same is ordered to record which is now done accordingly.

Know all men by these presents that whereas Abraham Dennis by last will and testament, proven and admitted to record in the Muhlenberg County Court at the June Term 1875 of said Court, made certain bequests and devises to the undersigned Fannie G. Dennis as his widow. Now, I do hereby relinquish all given me and bequeathed me by and under said will and claim all that I am entitled to by law in lieu thereof, towit: all my dowerable and distributable share in said estate as the widow of said decendent Abraham Dennis.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto susbscribed my hand this the 29th day of June 1875.

I, Jno. E. Reno, Clerk of the Muhlenberg County Court, do certify that this renunciation of the provisions of the last will and testament of Abraham Dennis decd., was this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by Fannie G. Dennis to be her act and deed. Whereupon the same together with this certificate hath been truly recorded in my office.
