In the name of God Amen. I, Lewis Ebeling of the County of Muhlenberg & State of Kentucky, being sick and weak in body but of sound mind & disposing memory (for which I thank God) & calling to mind the uncertainty of human life & being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it truth pleased God to bless one with, I give bequeath and same in manner as following that is to say

First I give to my wife Mary Ebeling all my estate both real & personal during her natural life and upon her death it is to be equally divided among my children…

…Executor to this my last will & Testament thereby relinquishing all other or former wills or Testaments by me heretofore made. In witness hereof I have herein set my hand and affixed my seal this 23rd day of August 1831.

The Last Will & Testament of Lewis Ebeling deceased was exhibited in to Court & proven to be the act & deed of the said Lewis by the oath of Moses Wickliffe subscribing witness thereto, and at the September County Court 1834 was fully proven by the oath of Lemuel Yonts another subscribing witness thereto & ordered to be recorded.
