Being now upon a bed of disease and in my proper mind, I make this my last will and testament namely.
My son Jacob France shall act as the administrator & executor in the settlement of all my business, and after all my debts are paid off, if there remain any thing, it shall go to the said Jacob France.
Made this 24 day of December 1847.

This last will and testament of Michael France decd. was exhibited into court and proved to be the act and deed of the said decedent by the oaths of E.P. Spurrier and Samuel Danner, the subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded.
