Transcription

In the name of God, Amen.

I, Andrew Glenn Sr., of the county of Muhlenberg & state of Kentucky, being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory (for which I thank God) and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such wordly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in manner followering, that is to say.

First I give to my son Robert Glenn ten shillings & six pence to him and his heirs forever.

Secondly, I give to my son Henry F. Glenn ten shillings and six pence to him & his heirs forever.

Thirdly, I give to my son Thomas F. Glenn ten shillings and six pence to him & his heirs forever.

Fourthly, I give to my daughter Elizabeth Ferguson ten shillings & six pence to her & her heirs forever.

Fifthly, I give to my son Moses F. Glenn one bed & its furniture and one cow to him and his heirs forever.

Sixthly I give to my son Andrew Glenn one hundred and eighty three acres of land whereon he now lives to him and his heirs forever.

Seventhly I give to my daughters Nancy Glenn, Sarah Glenn, Susannah Glenn, Mary Ferguson, and Isabella Glenn the plantation whereon I now live, containing two hundred acres, also one hundred acres my head right adjoining, together with my wagon, gears, and farming utensils, horses, cows, sheep, hogs, and all my household and kitchen furniture, to them and their heirs forever, and if one of them should marry then Nancy & Sarah Glenn are to give them what they think proper.

Lastly, I do hereby constitute & appoint my two sons Henry F. Glenn and Moses F. Glenn executors to this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal, this 30th day of June 1824.

The foregoing last will & testament of Andrew Glenn, deceased, was exhibited into court & proved to be the act & deed of the sd. Glenn by the oaths of Moses Wickliffe and Robert Wickliffe, subscribing witnesses thereto, which is thereupon ordered to be recorded.
