Kentucky Muhlenberg County February the 2nd 1821

In the name of God Amen, I Joseph Groves of the aforesd. state and county considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed by almighty God for the same, I do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

I give and bequeath unto my beloeve wife Peggy all and singular my lands and tenements and all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate, goods, and chattels fo what kind and nature.

Second I give and bequeath the same to my sd. beloved wife during her widowhood and no longer bbut at the day of her marriage, she is to have a child's part and I do hereby appoint my sd. wife sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other former wills by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the second day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred twenty one.

The within foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Joseph Groves was acknowledged by the said Groves to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained which is thereupon admitted to and truly recorded.
