Elizabeth B. Hendricks, 1894

Central City, Sept 15, 1892

I, Elizabeth B. Hendricks, being of sound mind and of disposing memory, do make this my last will and testament.

First, I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as possible after my death.

Second, I will Mary B. Hendricks, my step-daughter, for her care and kindness to me, the home I now live in and all I have in this home to be hers forever, also the lot of ground between this and Wm. Davenport's.

Third, I will to Nannie Boggess and her children Harry P. Boggess and Carrie Boggess, for the love I have for them, the lot of ground lying between my home and the O&N Railway and all the balance of my estate wherever located, personal or mixed, as a slight token for the love they have shown me.

Codicil

The lot of ground between my home and O&N Railway I bequeath to Harry and Carrie Boggess.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 15” day of Sept. 1892.

The above and foregoing instrument was at the date thereof signed, sealed and declared by the said Elizabeth B. Hendricks as and for her last will and testament in presence of us who are her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names.

The foregoing last will and testament of Elizabeth B. Hendricks deceased was produced in open court on the date aforesaid and proven to be the act and deed of said decedent by the oaths of F.M. Salsburg and Clara L. Salsburg, the two subscribing witnesses thereto, whereupon the same is adjudged to be the last will and testament of said decedent and ordered to be recorded, which is now done accordingly.
