In the name of God Amen. Know all men that I John Smith Lucas give and bequeath to my wife Roselendd Mariah Lucas all my perishable and personal property consisting in a farm stock household and kitchen furniture and all the appertenances thereto to have and to hold and dispose of as she pleases. At her death if my son J.G. Lucas is living I want him to have all she leaves. If she survives her son it is at her disposal.

The foregoing last will and testament of J.S. Lucas deceased was produced to Court on the date aforesaid, and proved to be the act and deed of said decedent, by the oaths of A.W.C. Drake, J.G. Chatham and J.G. Ellison, the subscribing witnesses thereto, whereupon the same was ordered to be recorded which is now done accordingly.
