Greenberry Roll Will

Transcription

In the name of God Amen. I Greenberry Roll, being of sound mind & considering the certainty of death, I make this my last will & testament viz. At my death after my lawful debts are paid, I give or bequeath to my beloved wife Ellen Roll, late Ellen Oneal [O'Neal], my farm & land I now live on containing 75 acres more or less. I give said farm & all money & personal property to the said Ellen Roll & her heirs by me forever and I appoint D.B. Roll my administrator to settle my estate & to see that this my will is carried out to the letter of the law & if said D.B. Roll should die before I do I then appoint M. Roll, D.B. Roll's brother, administrator to my estate. Witness my hand this December 15, 1876.

September Term 1878. The foregoing last will of Greenberry Roll was produced to court & proven by the oaths of S.A. Jackson & T.H. King, the two subscribing witnesses thereto, to be the act & deed of the said Greenberry Roll and the same was ordered to be recorded which is now done accordingly.
