In the name of God amen. I William Mc Sharp of the county of Muhlenberg and state of Kentucky, being of sound mind and memory and not knowing the certain time when it will please God to take my life, which he has graciously given me, I think proper to make of this endorsement my last will and testament. In the first place, I desire and request that my body shall be decently buried in a christian like manner and as to my soul I submit it unto the hands of the almighty, the donor of all things, to be disposed of it agreeably to his own pleasure. As to my worlds affects which it has pleased God almighty to bestow upon me, I give and bequeath in memory and honor the following viz.
Item 1 James H., Eliza J., Isaac D., Ellen A. Sharp, the sons and daughters of William Mc Sharp, I, William Mc Sharp, will to the children before mentioned one hundred dollars more than an equal division with my children.
Item 2 I want the children to remain on the farm and sell all the surplus property. 3 they all are to have a saddle. 4 and my young children are to be educated. 5 I do not want the land sold until the youngest child is of age. 6 I also will Robert C. Sharp my sole administrator and to pay to Joseph Milligan two hundred dollars for building me a large barn when finished. 7 and my last, I will that my administrator have tombstones erected at my grave & also at the grave of my deceased wife.

The foregoing last will and testament of William Sharp decd., having been produced into court and proven to be the act and deed of said Sharp by the oaths of Joseph Milligan & Thomas A. Pittman, two of the subscribing witnesses thereto, is ordered to be and which is truly recorded. Given under my hand this the date above written.
