Here are a few entries for Order book 8, as before I have made no attempt to correct spellings of names. I am reading this from Microfilm, on a microfiche reader which is very difficult. I hope this will help someone.

Inventory and Appraisment of the estate of John MILBY Decd. was returned to court

On the Motion of Jane SMITH and Jordan OWENS, they are appointed Adms. of Thomas G. SMITH Decd., bond for $2,000.00 with Edward HASKINS and Lewis PEMBERTON their securities.

Appraisal ordered for the estate of Thomas G. Smith, done by Nathl. HIZER, Samuel CABALE, John MOORE and Alex. HARRIS.

List of sales of the estate of Peter BASS decd. was returned to court.

The Last Will and Testament of Samuel HINDS* decd. was returned into court by Thomas HINDS, and proven by the oath of Amasa WEBB and Jacob G. DAVIS, the two witnesses. Thomas HINDS appointed Adms. of the estate, entered into bond for $600. with Daniel KESLER* and Amasa WEBB his securities.

Appraisal of the estate of Samuel HINDS ordered done by any three of the following: Pleasent SANDIDGE, Reuben JACKSON, Norton* Davis and Oliver JENTRY.

On the motion of Lloyd HARRIS, it is ordered that James MURRAY, Daniel NOLLEY and Peter A. ATWOOD be and they are here by appointed any two, to settle the accounts of Jane/James NAYLOR* as Guardian of John B. HARRIS and report the same at next court.

Robert SMITH is appointed overseer of the Sidebottom Road from Green river to Little Barren river. in the acom. of Anderson RIGNEY and that the male laboring persons of the age of 16 years and upwards residing int he following bounds be alotted him to dig and keep smooth the same thirty feet wide as the law directs. Beginning at Joseph Carters, thence down Green river to the mouth of Little Barren ... to include Elijah GOFF then to John B. DAVENPORT, then to Robert SMITHS.

On the application of James SHARP for a way to be opened for a road to be conducted from Campbellsville to the Adair county line.

Alexander LILE is appointed overseer of the Turner* road, leading from Greensburg until it intersects the McKinney Cabin road, to John C. DURHAM's saw mill. ect...

Daniel GEORGE jailer of Green Co. came into Court and resigned his office as Jailer.

It is ordered that Richard L. MOORE be and he is herby appointed Jailer of Green Co. during the pleasure of the Court and took the various oaths etc.. And entered into bond with William MILLER* and Daniel NOLLEY.

Absent from court Daniel LILE Esq., Present William SKAGGS Esq.

Berry REED and Kesiah, his wife summoned to Court to appear and show cause why James FRANKLIN an infant , should not be taken from them and bound to a person as the court directs. REED and wife appeared, sworn in and examined along with Horatio SHORT upon where the court ordered that James FRANKLIN be taken and bound to John JEFFRIES to learn the act of farming until age 21.  Which will be on July 22, 1833. (so he was really 13 but still a infant in Law terms)

William MONTGOMERY will be 21, Jan. 29, 1832 and John H. MONTGOMERY June 17, 1830.

On the Application of Thomas WRIGHT who filed his affidavit and made oath as the law directs to be placed on the List of Pensioners under the several acts of Congress on that subject. It is ordered to be certified by the court from the testimony of Creditable amd disinterested testimony that they are of the opinion that the valuation of the property of Thomas WRIGHT is worth $115.45 which is ordered to be certified to the Secretary of State.

Ordered that the order of yesterday and today directing the clerk to bind James FRANKLIN to James BAXTER and the order acknowledged on the indenture be set aside, and it is ordered that Berry REED and Kisiah REED his wife, and John JEFFRIES be summoned to appear here at court , to show cause if any why James FRANKLIN a poor boy should not be taken out of their pocession and be bound out to learn some art mystery or occupation.

It appearing to the satisfaction of the court that William P. WHITE in his life time executed a bond to William GRAY* for 390 acres of land being in Green county, the said White has since departed this life the interstate leaving children his heirs at law who are infants under the age of 21 yrs, and it appearing that the land was paid for, on motion of said Jury, it is ordered that Tomas GAINES, Samuel WHITE and Stanton BUCKNER be and are hearby appointed commisioners to convey said 390 acres. ect..
