Daniel is listed on the 1789 Jefferson Co KY tax list, 1800 Shelby Co KY tax list, the 1809-1814 tax lists for Henry Co KY, Had children Daniel Jr. b. 1792; John; Marrifield (of Trimble Co KY) b.1799; Lucinda; & probably more. Daniel Jr. m.1) Mary FLINT 25 Mar. 1815 in Knox Co IN, 2) Delilah ABBOTT 6 Oct 1834 in Oldham Co. KY, 3) Phebe RICHARDSON 18 Oct. 1840 in Hancock Co KY where he lived until his death in 1862. Daniel Jr. had 17 children from these 3 marriages. Would like to correspond with any one researching this line.
Polemon LOUDEN LONG was born in KY in 1811. He married Nancy BROWN, also >born in KY. Polemon was my gg-grandfather. He moved ultimately to Vernon Co., MO in the 1840's. His son, John LOUDEN LONG was born in MO in 1845. The name LOUDEN(LOWDEN) is obviously of some significance since it appeared in two successive generations. I have been unable, however, to break the code. There were several LOUDENs in Henry, Oldham, Bourbon, and Fayette counties in the 1820's and 1830's, but not many later, making it appear that both families may have moved out about that time. I have not been able to establish any LOUDEN connection beyond the middle names of my g and gg-grandfathers. Family history indicates that the LONGs came to KY from PA, but no proof. I would appreciate any possible leads on either LOUDEN or LONG.
