James m 1 Rachel BUTLER b c1786-88 d c 1822 m 2 Margaret "Peggy" LONDON/LOWDEN abt 1822.His children born from 1808 to 1844 were Levi, Jesse, Issac, Jemima, Sally, Mary, James Jr, Teresa, John, Nancy, William, Squire, Louisa, Thomas, Eli, Eliza, Dicy and Margaret. Looking for information on information about the descendants of Robert SCOTT who was born 1750/1760 In Rowan Co., North Carolina. He married about 1775 in South Carolina or Tennessee. The family lived in Tennesse, before arriving at Jefferson Co., Kentucky by 1 Jun 1791 when he paid taxes. When Shelby Co., Kentucky, was formed in 1792, Robert SCOTT's property lay within the bounds of Shelby County. When the 1810 Census was taken, Robert SCOTT and his family were living in Henry Co., Kentucky. He had four sons and two daughters. Sometime between 1810 and 1820 the family removed to Waterloo, Fayette Co., Indiana, where he died about 1831. Descendants lived in Fayette Co., Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Warrick Co., Indiana, Pike Co., Indiana, and elsewhere.

OREM. I am looking for information about the family of my GGrandfather's sister, Mary Alice GREEN Orem. Alice was born about 1877 in Bath Co., KY and married Malachi L. OREM, who was born about 1879. Malachi was a farmer around Campbellsburg. Mal died June 1,1962 and Alice died October 10, 1969. Bertha GREEN, Alice's sister also lived in Henry Co. She never married. She was born September 22, 1882 in Bath Co., KY and died in August 1982 at New Castle. Mal and Alice had at least one son.

My ancestor, Col. Preston BRENT attended Western Military Institute in the early 1850's. It is my understanding that this institute was in Drennon Springs(sp?), Henry County,Ky.
