I am looking for information on William MARCUM. He was born in Eminence, Ky (Henry County) in or around 1874. He had a half brother named Grandville SHAFFER or SCHAFFER. William moved to Indianapolis in 1918. We believe he had 4 sons named: Lee, B.G., Thomas Richard, and Edward. Edward is still alive in Indianapolis but will not give us any information. William and Thomas Richard are buried in Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Here is what we know about Thomas Richard MARCUM. Thomas Richard was born in Owenton, Ky (Owen County) in 1898. He died in 1946. Lee MARCUM at the time of Thomas Richard's death was living in Covington, Ky (Kenton County).

GIST: William Nathaniel Gist, Jr. was born 4-22-1811 and died 6-28-1853 in Henry County, Kentucky. He married Mary Brinker. William had a brother, Andrew. Andrew may be my great-great Grandfather. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on TRACY, John and FORE, Sarah. John TRACY was born in 1787 in Rutherford CO. No. Carolina and moved to Henry (Shelby) Co., KY around 1796 with his father and mother Nathaniel TRACY and Mary TIDWELL. Sarah FORE, is said to be daughter of Snipe FORE of No Carolina.

They had 2 known sons James b. 1805 married Lorinda WARREN and John b. 1804 married Mariam WARREN. Could Samuel be related to Abraham JONES b. c 1778 married to Mary Polly KYLE and resided in Lee Co, Virginia?

My ancestor, Charles COULTER, owned and sold land in Henry County in 1813, according to the deed book. Charles moved on to Washington County, IN in 1814. Need any information about this family, especially where they came from. Have searched for many years.

I am looking for information on Joseph ROWE, b. 1790, Joseph ROWE was married to Elizabeth (Betsy) PLYMALE/PLIMEL, Joseph and Elizabeth had their second child Margaret in Henry Co. KY in 1814. James ROWE appears on the 1810/20 census for Henry Co. and may be the father of Joseph ROWE. I have a lot of ROWE and PLYMALE information that I am willing to share.

OWEN, John Shearman and Eliza BEVANS OWEN were parents of Henrietta Gideon born 5 Jul 1831, Newcastle, Henry Co., KY. Her siblings were Cecelia Marie, Harriet Matilda who married John CHAPMAN, William Bevans, Eliza Mary Jane who married William CHAPMAN and Henry GRIFFITH. John Shearman served as a private in Capt. Hurst's Co. Col. Humphrey's Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia in the War of 1812. Would like to have information about their Henry County residence and their time there.

Looking for the ancestors/descendants of Merritt SHACKELFORD, b. 12 March 1827 to James SHACKELFORD and his first wife, Matilda CARTER, m. 31 March 1831 in Henry Co., KY. Merritt SHACKELFORD married Mary S. JORDAN on 7 Oct 1871 in Clark Co., MO. By his first wife, James had two, perhaps three children by this marriage including Merritt. They were Emily SHACKELFORD and Mary SHACKELFORD. At some point in his life, Merritt SHACKELFORD relocated to Clark Co, MO. where he died 12 January 1887. His father, James SHACKELFORD married two other times, next to Elizabeth SCOTT, who he married in Henry Co. 8 Feb 1834. His third wife was Permelia Caroline SIBLEY, married 19 June 1838 in Henry Co. There were no children produced of the second marriage, but he had four offspring by Permelia Caroline SIBLEY. They were: Isabell SHACKELFORD, James Campbell SHACKELFORD, Frances (Fanny) SHACKELFORD and Mattie SHACKELFORD. Any and all information would be appreciated.
