Jacob b. 1808 in Henry or Oldham Co. At the time of this marriage, Caroline's father was deceased and she lived with one Martha Elly who gave consent for the marriage as next of kin. JOHNSTON / CURRY / BURK James and John JOHNSTON were brothers who served in the Revolutionary War in Culpeper Co., VA, and settled in about 1792 in Shelby and then Henry Co, KY. They both lived in Port Royal where John died in about 1832 and James died in about 1859, at the age of over 90. James married in Shelby Co., KY in 1797 Jane CURRY (CAREY, CASEY ?). He married Nancy McCARTHY in 1805. His daughter Polly married Mason BURK in Henry Co. in 1825. Seeking to share info.
