They were the parents of Lindsey and Bessie HUDSON: Also, Shelby ADAMS (1867-1942) and Gertrude ADAMS(dates unknown). They were the parents of Lula ADAMS who married Lindsey HUDSON. All of these individuals were born and died in Henry Co.

CULL, MCELWAIN, RAWLINGS posted by Martha Floyd Miller on Friday, August 20, 1999: Samuel MCELWAIN was the administrator of the estate and guardian of the children of Nathan CULL in the 1840s in Henry Co. Nathan's wife was Rebecca RAWLINGS. Family information suggests that Samuel (wife, Harriet) was related to Nathan and/or Rebecca. Information about these families will be greatly appreciated.

CARTER, ROBINSON posted by Jon on Friday, August 20, 1999: Seeking info on William CARTER - a slave in Newcastle area c1840-63, joined Union Army's colored troops, charged @ Lexington, joined Buffalo soldiers, married to Lucy ( maiden unkown), had children, died 1905. One son named Robert (married Louise ROBINSON), Louise's father was John ROBINSON. Need to know who owned William, who his parents were, etc. I'm his great-grandson.

THURMOND posted by Marvin Thurman on Friday, August 20, 1999: I am new to this. I am tracing the ancestors of George Edmond THURMOND, known to friends and family ad "Ed" of the area near Lockport, last lived in Clement's Bottom. His father was John THURMOND and John's father was Joseph THURMOND. From Census records, I believe they all lived near Grub Ridge, Fallis, and on Six Mile. I have additional information if anyone else is interested.

This Isaac may be son of William PENDLETON (1720-1779). Not sure yet of his connection with other Henry Co. Pendletons, i.e., Robert K., Welles or Willis, and Lindsey. MARTIN, ONAN posted by Sue Martin on Thursday, August 26, 1999: I am interested in the surnames MARTIN and ONAN. My father-in-law was born in Henry County and his parents were both from Henry County. I spent a day at the County Court House going through marriage/deaths/deeds, but was not able to find much information. I will plan another trip in the summer of 2000.

MARTIN, ONAN posted by Sue Martin on Thursday, August 26, 1999: Trying to locate any information on Grover Cleveland MARTIN who married Jenny ONAN. They had the following children: Ethel Mae MARTIN, Woodrow "Buck" Wilson MARTIN, Elizabeth MARTIN, William "Bill" Clayton MARTIN and Claude Kenneth MARTIN. The information listed on Claude's birth certificate states that his father was a farmer in Henry County and that he was born in Henry County. Grover's age at the time of his son Claude's birth is listed as 36. Claude was born October 21, 1918. Jenny's age at the time of Claude's birth is listed as 23 and she too was born in Henry County. I would appreciate any help on tracking down ancestors of Grover Cleveland MARTIN and Jenny ONAN.

CULL, MCELWAIN, MCHENRY, RAWLINGS posted by Martha Floyd Miller on Friday, August 27, 1999: Nathan CULL (1797-1843) died in Henry Co KY. Samuel MCELWAIN (1807-1887) was the administrator of his estate and guardian of his children. Nathan was the son of John CULL and Rachel MCHENRY. He married Rebecca RAWLINGS, d/o of Sarah RAWLINGS, on 15 Apr 1822 in Henry Co. I have information about Nathan & Rebecca's descendants but would like to know more about their parents and siblings. Family information suggests that Samuel MCELWAIN was related to Nathan's family but I don't know how. Samuel's wife was Harriet J. ??. Any information about these families will be appreciated.

CRAWLEY b July 1850 in MO moved to Henry Co as a young man married Mary H. b 8-1855 two children I know of b to this union Dora (M) b September 1879 and Maud (F) b May 1882 Robert M. died June 8, 1917 in Gest, Ky Henry Co., Seem to have lived their most of his life, would like to find family. Their were other CRAWLEY'S living around him off and on Elias CRAWLEY, Elias Hays CRAWLEY, John S CRAWLEY and Alphonso CRAWLEY, would appreciate contact with anyone that knows anything about this family thank you
