Reinhart on Wednesday, May 3, 2000: I am looking for photos of men from Henry County who served in the 6th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment U.S. (1861-1864) for inclusion in a regimental history to be published this fall. Photos do not have to show the men in uniform and they can be with one or more persons. I have pictures of Capt. Isaac N. JOHNSTON. Lt. John CHILTON, and Pvt. Jacob HEILMAN of Henry County.

Children: Phebe born 1823 who married Brookins CHAPMAN; Jefferson who was born 1834 and married Emeline PEEBLES; Austin born 1826 who married Maria ANDERSON; Andrew born 1830; William born 1832 who married Susanna HAYNES; Patsy born 1834; Nancy born 1836; John Q. born 1842; and Agnes born 1841. Family moved to Macoupin Co. Illinois about 1836 and resided in Bird Township.

Francis came to Henry Co abt 1808 from Monroe Co Ky. He was in the Mill Creek Church in Monroe Co.He probably has relatives that are buried in Port Royal.Some of the surnames that married the Baxters are, MADDOX, HESTAND, FULSON? GREEN and HOOK or HOKE. Will share what I have.

I cant find that town name. Her Father was Henry Thomas TANDY & Mom was a LOCKWOOD, or so we have been told. Kate married a Francis (Frank) Henry BRINKLEY who was from NC. JENKINS, JONES posted by Patricia Jones Settle on Wednesday, May 24, 2000: Looking for my g-grandfather, Daniel W. JONES. He married Mary Ann JENKINS in 1866 in Jefferson Co., KY. By 1870, Daniel is nowhere to be found, Mary Ann is back with her parents with two little boys, Jesse H. and William E. There was a Daniel JONES who joined the 6th KY Inf., Co. F, in Jefferson Co. in 1861. He was said to be from Henry Co. I have checked the 1850 census for Henry Co., found two Daniel's, but ages are wrong according to information given on marriage certificate. Any information greatly appreciated.

KEISER posted by Howard Boswell on Saturday, May 27, 2000: I am looking for any information on the family of Frederick Keiser Sr. who were living in Henry County Ky. As per 1800 Tax List,until his death in 1813. He had removed from Jefferson County. His son Frederick Jr. was also in ther same areas. I would like to know if Frederick Sr. , left a will . His inventory was in 1813.
